What does NFPA 25 require for sprinkler systems? NFPA 25 requires quarterly inspections of control valves and alarm devices, annual main drain and waterflow alarm tests, and a 5-year internal piping inspection and sprinkler head sample. All results must be documented and available for AHJ review.
Do you repair sprinkler systems? No. We inspect and test sprinkler systems to NFPA 25 and document any deficiencies. We refer you to a licensed sprinkler contractor for repairs or installation work.
Will sprinkler testing cause water damage? Waterflow alarm tests briefly activate the alarm bell or gong, but we coordinate to minimize disruption. Main drain tests discharge water through the drain, not the sprinkler heads, so there is no water damage to your building.
How long does a sprinkler inspection take? A typical commercial sprinkler inspection takes 1–3 hours depending on system size, number of control valves, and building layout. Larger properties may take longer.
